Dealing with Disappointments

One of the hardest things to learn is how to deal with things
that just don't work out the way you plan them. Saturday was
one of those days where nothing went as we planned. The Curves Camera Crew had planned a photoshoot
to Antietam for their outing. When the weather looked like it
was going to mess us up, we switched destinations and headed
into DC to the Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately, there had
been an overnight watermain break and the Gardens were closed. We then tried to go to a nearby Colonial Farm only to
find that it too was closed. Since we were near Great Falls, we
went over and shot pictures there but we were not truely
inspired.
Tonight, in my OA meeting, I finally got up the courage to ask
one of the ladies if she would be my sponser and she said that
she could only handle one person. I was disappointed but at
least I asked.
Disappointments are a fact of life but it is better to do than not. I wouldn't have missed Saturday for anything and I am glad I
asked.
