Never judge a book by it's cover

He was a strange looking fellow, tall, kind of gangly, balding, wore glasses but what a gentle and truely wonderful man he was. My dear friend, Roger, had a fine wit and a whimsical smile. He was a good cook and a delightful host.
He loved gardening and enjoyed people from all
over. He valued education and continued to learn all of his life. He loved to write and his letters were always a treat: something to be shared and savored. I will miss this strange looking fellow but I will remember to read what is on the inside before deciding about the outside. Thanks, Rog. Say hello to Mom for me. You'll find her in amongst the roses with a book she is longing to share with you. Safe journey.
