Goodbye, Little Friend

Today I got some sad news from my friend, Carolyn. It seems that one of her dogs has died while she has been away. I know she feels terrible because she really loves her dogs.
What a pair they were. The black and white one is Shadow and the white and tan one was Butterscotch. They are Tibetian Spaniels and very sweet tempered. Whenever Carolyn would leave the house, she would tell the "boys" to GUARD THE HOUSE and they would.
I remember when she got the"boys". I couldn't believe she got two but they were brothers and her granddaughter said they needed to be together. Now poor Shadow is by himself. I know he will miss his brother. I hope Carolyn can help him thru and hopefully, help herself too.
I remember when I had to put Gigi down. I think I almost cried harder than when Mom died. It was wierd. And then, the two little kittens within three days of getting them. Luckily, I wasn't
quite as attached as I would have been if I had them for a month. Thank God that she still has
Shadow and Shadow still has Carolyn.
Butterscotch is being well taken care of by your Dad and he will meet you both at the Rainbow Bridge sometime in the DISTANT future.
To Scutterbotch, well done, Little Friend. Be patient and wait.
