Making the Transition
This picture is of Donna Turgeon, one of my dearest friends. I took it at the Occaquan Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday 2Jun.
the picture is called Heritage Lost and shows an old skipjack marooned in a New England marsh.
Today Donna is taking her Mom back to New England and back to her home. She has been living at Donna's home for a few months and it has definitely taken it's toll on Donna. We talked about it on Sunday. Donna is well aware that her Mother has
undergone a change in her life. 6 months ago, she had a brain aneurism which almost killed her. She has made a remarkable
recovery but somethings have changed. Her mother has lapses in memory. Whether she can live in her house on her own is not known. Donna has made arrangements for someone to stay overnight but will that be enough?
She feels anxious but she also feels that she owes her Mother the chance to try being independent again. However, she is aware that this may not be possible. I pray the Lord will help
my dear friend as she helps her Mother during this transition.
