What a Team!!!!!!
This is not my picture and I am not sure how to increase it in size but this is my wonderful Lime Sublimes. We are 16 wins and 3 loses and they are terrific. I love to watch them play because they really have developed into a great team. We have our stars but everyone is playing good ball right now. Many of them have played on my teams in the past but to have them all together for my last active season with the Golden Girls is just too fantastic and I am loving it.
The lady in the 3 row seated on the end left side is Laci Brown. She plays a dynamite short stop, hits like a son-of-a-gun, and runs like a gazelle. She hit her second home run today plus made three outs in one inning. Three of the ladies are members of my Gold Medal 70's team:Jo Keister(2nd row ,2nd from the left), Betty de la Cruz (1st row, middle)
and Elaine Gunther(1st row, far left). Elaine is having her best season ever. She has managed to get on first and score
in just about every game which ain't too shabby for someone who is 75 yrs old. My" Murderers Row" is made up of the 3 row, first three players on the left: The already mentioned Laci, Co(short for Colleen) Duryea and Courtney Saddler. Co and Courtney play out in the outfield and are part of our beginning 40's team that the Golden Girls are starting up. Two other members of the MR are
Doris Schaeffer (2nd row left end-she is also the Pres) and Annie Sneden(1st row,1st right)
But it a combination of all these people working together and just having fun that makes this a really great team. Of course, they are ablely coached by none other than the KEY LIME herself:ME . Ain't it sweeeeeeeet!
