A little rusty but still there

I had a lovely day with my dear friend, Ruth Gil, today. She has been with her daughter, Sally, down in New Market, VA.,
and has just come back for a little while. She is so glad to get back to her home. It is not that she doesn't like being with her
daughter but it is so much nicer being around her own things and able to do what she wants when she wants. When you are a guest in someone's home, you just don't feel completely comfy.
No matter what they do, it is not the same.
I was delighted to see that Ruth has managed to clean up her home a little. It isn't that she is messy but she is a pack rat and getting her to get rid of things has been difficult. I know it is hard for her but she really does need to keep at this project. Her children keep nagging at her but you really can't nag Ruth too much because then her feelings get hurt.
She wanted me to have lunch with her at Westminster so I agreed. We were joined by her neighbors, Chris and Carl. They were delightful and the lunch was pleasant. Ruth has misplaced some of her jewelry(three rings) and she is very upset about it. I tried to help her find them but to know avail. She said she had a dream last night and she took off the rings and handed them to someone but that is all she can remember. I really hope the rings turn up soon. She is very distressed.
I am suppose to go and take her to the hairdresser on Wed. Since she no longer drives, she can't get up here unless someone brings her. I am happy to do this for her because she has done so much for me. I will miss seeing her but I must keep in touch with her. She is a blessing and I am grateful for having her in my life. Maybe I can fly her out to Washington in the Spring. I might have to come back and get her and then fly her out and fly her back. I'll save up for that. I really love this lady.
