A Joyous Day---Definitely one to remember

I knew it was a good day when I woke up this morning. I tend to judge how a day will be by how well I do with my Scrabble game. If I win all three games, then the day usually follows suit. But today was beyond my wildest dreams.
We had a double header today and this time, I remembered my keys. I had decided that today would be my last softball game. Logically, it was time. Next week is pickup games and then there are two more weekends until the season is over. I have been letting go of things slowly and now it was time to let go of the Golden Girls. My team was slow to arrive but we finally had 13 players and wonder of wonders, they were my favorite players. I made the lineup and talked to Barbara Elliott about how I do it(she will be my replacement). We played the Pink Sox first and we came out smoking. We scored about 12 runs before they scored one. We had three home runs in this game and there were some players who hit better then I have seen them hit in a long while. Ida Wright hit a HR. So did Baz. Louise and Elaine both hit some really great shots. The final score was 24 to 3......AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
I was afraid that we would become complacent in the second game against the Blue Haired Babes but we didn't do that until the 7th inning.
KC "Kathy" Collett walloped a HR. I know there was another HR but I am darned if I can think who. The team had their typical inning from hell but they got it together and made the outs to win 19-6. In between games, the gang gave me an envelope with some mad money:$153.00.
I made some impromptu awards for 6 people: KC "Kathy" Collett(Mighty Mite), Doris Schaeffer(Best Right Hand), Elaine Gunther(Resurrection year), Most unexpected HR(Bev Vaughn), Laura Carver( My Saint Bernard-no brandy but a fantastic hug) and finally, my first arrival, Andrea Miller. She is always there when I arrive. I know some people were surprised that I didn't give Laci a special award but they will understand at the annual meeting in Nov. I gave the awards to Laci Brown and Barbara Elliott.
This afternoon I took pictures of my chiropracter, Dr Sal Nuccio. I have wanted to do this for some time. He has been so kind. He has been adjusting me for months for free so I took the whole office for dinner at Maggiones' in Tyson's. It was a delicious dinner and everyone had fun except Chrissy's daughter, Sommer, who was a little out of sorts tonight. I hope these pictures come out. I am so grateful for this day and I really appreciate everyones kindness.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for these good people you have placed in my life. Please watch each of them. Amen.
