Take a Little Pride

I was walking to my car this morning and as I
looked around, I was a bit disgusted with the grounds around my townhouse. There is trash everywhere: ice cream wrappers, bottles, paper,
toys. It is sad that the people around me care so little about where they live. They wouldn't go to a friend's house and throw stuff on the floor. Why do that outside? After all, this is part of their homes too. Why can't we take a little pride in where we live? It is not that hard to pick up things. There are so many ethnic groups living here and so many languages being spoken but I can't believe that these people like living like this. It's so much nicer to have the area picked up.
I may not miss this place quite so much. The picture shown is of an Chuckshi indian school in
Siberia. Although it was poor, they were very proud of it. There was no graffiti on the walls
and the children's art and projects were shown with pride. It was nice. Give of the world the
best that you have and the best will come back to you. It is soooo true.
