Cherry Blossoms
What is it about cherry blossoms that is guaranteed to lift my spirits? They are a joyous part of the tree. White and Pink blow
happily in the breeze. The blossoms look soft and fragile. The branches are thin and willowlike. Butterflies and bees fly in and out, occassionally landing gently on one of the blossoms.
The poor cherry trees didn't know when to bloom this year because of the weird weather. Some of them actually began to
bloom in January and then we got all that snow in February.
But they are out in force now.......and of course, there is rain due
tomorrow so the blossoms will fall from the trees and cover our
streets and lawns with pink and white. Short lived but oh, so
fine.
