My Adopted Team--60's

I didn't have a team this year at the Olympics so I adopted the 60's. I actually had two reasons:
Lynn Smith and Donna Turgeon. Both these ladies are very special in my life so rooting for them wasn't hard. I expected to be taking pictures the whole time I was there but the team asked me to keep score so I did. Hence, no action
shots of my team. The gang played very well the first day:3 games played, 3 games won. They started out great the second day by winning their first game. Then came the double elimination games. First game: disaster---15-0.
Now the gang was in the loser's brackett. They had to play two more games in order to have a
crack at the gold medal. They managed to win both. They had a rematch with the team that beat them in the disaster game but they just couldn't get their bats going. So the 60''s took the
silver medal and because they appreciated my score keeping and my encouragement, they got
me a medal too. Not too shabby. This is a nice team but they have a tendency to fall apart when they get under pressure. They criticize each other and that just doesn't help. When you are down, what is needed is encouragement and positive thinking. Put errors behind you. Someone once said: FORGIVE, FORGET, AND FORGE AHEAD! Good advice and not just for softball.
