Shoulda done better by you, Luce

How often do we get another chance in life to correct a wrong? My buddy Lucy Haynes has had a colon problem for a while. She has been dealing with it with her usual humor and style. I should have been calling her every day or at least every other day. Have I? NO! Why? Just didn't get around to it. It is not that I have been busy but I didn't make her a priority. Shame on me!!!!



Lucy has been a good friend. She has even come over and vacuumed the place. Now that is a real pal. What have I done in return? Well I did visit her once in the hospital. I brought her some nail polish because she wanted to do her nails. So I am not a complete creep but I am real close.
I called today to inquire about her health and to ask her forgiveness which she gave. When I come back from seeing Annie Wiehe, I want to pay a little more attention to Lucy. Good friends are hard to find. I would have to look long and hard to find another like my pal Luce.
