The Old Ways

We were on a road leading from the historic town of Washington(the whole town in on the National Register) when we spotted these two Amish boys. When I think of the Amish, I naturally think of PA but there are Amish in Ohio and Indiana as well as Kentucky. I enjoyed seeing the boys. The one in the blue shirt was obviously looking for something in his pockets

but I don't think he found it. I didn't want to bother them so I just took this picture from the back. I am sure it must be hard to be different when everyone wants to take your picture all the time. It is a strange way of life; one that I have no conception of but I must say that they seem to have adjusted to the 21st Century even if they don't go along with it. Note the red triangle on the back- traffic wisdom in this day and age.
