Rabbit Hash

Yes, that is really the name of the town. It is located near the Ohio border and not too far from Cincinatti. It is a quaint little town and I remember when I first heard of it. I was watching the Animal Planet and they were talking about a black lab named Junior. It seems that Junior had just been elected Mayor of Rabbit Hash, KY.

When I was researching our trip to Kentucky, I was looking for scenic routes because I get tired of highways. One of routes mentioned was Rabbit Hash. The scenic route ends in Bone Lick State Park which just happened to be on my list of places to see. So naturally I put Rabbit Hash on my list too. It was a pleasant outing. The route drove by the river and some very pleasant homes. We didn't see Junior when we stopped in town but the general store was fun to look around in. According to their website, Junior is doing a very admiral job as Mayor. I wonder if he would consider running for President?
