Lunch with the Colonel

It was finger-lickin' good. You just can't go to Kentucky and not try some Kentucky Fried chicken.
Corbin, Kentucky was where the Franchise got started. The Colonel had a nice little cafe and motel: Good food and a nice place to lay your head. The museum shows the kitchen, a model room, and has lots of memorabilia plus two lifesize statues of the man himself. The motel died when they changed the highway direction and bypassed Corbin. The Colonel sold the franchise and then bought back and it has been going strong ever since. It is still a good product and it was fun to see where it all started. It just goes to show you that where there is a will there is a way.
