Tuesday Evening Bible Study-try it, you'll like it
In my wildest dreams, I never thought I would ever like a Bible study group and yet here I am, starting my third one with Immanuel Bible Church. In my first group, we were studying
the Psalms. In my second group, it was Revelations. Now it is Genesis. Each one is very different yet they all have one thing in common and that is that they have given me a better understanding of God's Word.
Tonight, we started at the beginning with "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth". In the beginning before there was anything, there was God. Like a worker of clay, He
slowing formed what we now call Earth. He created energy and light. He created the dark. He formed the sky, the seas, the land, the sun, the moon, the stars. He created the trees and plants. We only studied Chapter 1:1-18 but it was very interesting. He took each step at a time and there was order to His plan. God likes order rather then chaos. Each step led to the next step and nothing was overlooked. Sometimes, I think I know what I am doing and I get ahead of myself only to fall on my face. If I would just take my time and go in order, I would be a lot happier and so would God. Interesting thoughts.
